Fortuny Fabric

Fortuny has been a defining name in textiles since Mariano Fortuny began working with fabric in the early 1900s, with every metre still printed at the original Venice factory using the same secret technique developed over a century ago. As an Australian stockist of Fortuny fabric, we can help you bring this rare, museum-quality textile into your home.
What makes Fortuny genuinely different from almost every other designer fabric house is that no two runnings are ever quite the same. Each length carries small, natural variations in colour and texture from the hand printing process, which means you're buying a piece of a century-old Venetian craft tradition rather than a uniform commercial print.
Because of this, we'd always recommend ordering a swatch before committing to metres of any Fortuny design, and checking with our team on dye lot consistency if you're ordering for a large project like a full set of curtains. Designs such as Barberini, Canestrelli and Caravaggio each carry their own 16th to 20th century reference points, and we're happy to talk through the history behind any print you're considering. If there's a specific Fortuny fabric you can't see below, contact us and we'll do our best to source it.
