Cremorne House
When Nicola returned to Sydney after eight years in London, she arrived with her young son Frankie, very little furniture, and one clear intention: to create a home that felt like an explosion of joy. The Cremorne apartment she purchased was a blank canvas, grey from floor to ceiling, and she handed that canvas to the No Chintz team before she'd even moved in.
Working with designer Lisa and guided by Chrissie's vision, the project unfolded around two anchoring ideas Nicola brought to the first consultation: a bespoke bedhead in a vibrant Anna Spiro fabric, and a banquette dining nook with colourful cushions. From those two touchstones, the entire palette grew, a warm layering of chartreuse, yellow, and pink that transformed a cool, neutral apartment into something entirely, joyfully her own.
The result is a home filled with considered detail, an unexpected chartreuse bookcase that the family now call Sunshine Cottage, a dining nook wrapped in warm yellow wallpaper, bespoke pendant shades, and artfully constructed cushions that Frankie declared, at age four and with complete sincerity, utterly amazing.
