A wonderful fine checked cotton fabric created by weaving two different colours together in a basket weave pattern. Machine woven for increased stability and is suitable for cushions, roman blinds, slipcovers and upholstery.
This Hopsack fabric features a 40 Denier backing for added strength and durability, making it perfectly suited to upholstery projects that need to stand up to daily use. The woven poly/cotton backing is thermally bonded to the fabric to add strength, stability and body.
Backing adds:
- Extra strength, weight and stability for upholstery, cushions, Roman blinds and slip cover applications.
- Superior protection against wear and tear
- A smooth, soft touch that doesn't compromise on comfort

Slightly heavier and less elastic than a knit backing, this scrim backing is especially useful for stabilising open or loosely woven fabrics, giving you extra confidence when it comes to sewing and long-term wear. This makes it a great match for Hopsack's naturally open weave.
